Bumblebee Hello

Play along with me as we make this sunny little card. It is perfect for any happy occasion. See the recipe card below for all the Stampin’ Up! products I used to make this. Print the card and use it as a reference as you shop my store!

You need a card base in Daffodil Delight 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored on long side at 4 1/4″, 2 pieces of Basic White cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″, and scrap pieces of Basic White, Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather to punch shapes.

I randomly stamped the small flowers and 3 tiny dots from the Hello Ladybug stamp set all over one piece of Basic White card. Then I glued this to the front of the card base and glued the other piece of Basic White inside the card as a place to write my message.

Next I punched out all my pieces. I punched 4 White daisies, 3 Highland Heather daisies and 1 Daffodil Delight daisy. I dragged the edge of my bone folder over the petals to give them a curved shape. I left one White and the Daffodil Delight daisy flat because they will be placed inside the card.

I added glue to the centers of the Basic White daisies and layered the Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight daisies on top, off setting the petals. Then I used my Black Stampin’ Write marker to add dots to the centers of the flowers.

I used the Ladybug Builder punch and Daffodil Delight card to make my bumblebees. After punching 2 of them I used a black marker and the negative punch shape to create the stripes on my bees. In the photo I used a white negative shape so you can better see what I am doing.

After outlining the wings in black marker, I glued them to the bee. I used the Double Oval punch shapes in Basic White and Highland Heather for my sentiment.

Now it is time to put it all together. After stamping my sentiment on the Basic White oval I placed Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of it and on the 3 daisies for the front of the card.

I glued my sentiment on the card front first because I wanted one of the bumblebees to slightly over lap it. Then I glued the bees flat to the card and added the daisies around them. For the finishing touch I added the last daisy to the inside of the card.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card! It was fun to put together, I hope you will make one and post it in the comments below.
